Rutland Regional volunteers donate their time, energy, talents and skills in and out of the hospital supporting staff, patients and families in a variety of ways
Whether you are interested in a clerical position or something with more active patient interaction, Rutland Regional’s Volunteer Services will closely match your role to your interests, abilities and availability. All volunteers are given the appropriate training for their responsibilities, and most positions listed below require a weekly time commitment of four hours.
See below for examples of volunteering opportunities. Not all these positions may be open at any given time, depending on department need and current volunteer staffing.
A variety of positions available in offices in the building or at one of our off site locations.
Transport or discharge patients, as well as deliver paperwork, lab specimens and supplies throughout the hospital.
Support staff and round on patients.
Round on patients explaining hospital services.
Mentoring teens who volunteer after school as Couriers.
Volunteers whose dogs hold a current certification by a local pet therapy association bring cheer to both patients and staff.
Volunteers provide customer service at the entrances.
