At Rutland Regional’s Pharmacy Department our mission is to deliver superior medication-related care that supports excellent outcomes.

Our pharmacy staff is an integral part of the team at Rutland Regional, and includes over 18 pharmacists as well as many pharmacy technicians and additional support staff. The team also includes a pharmacist devoted to antimicrobial stewardship through our Infectious Diseases clinic. Whether you are an inpatient, or need a prescription filled at our retail pharmacy, our pharmacists are committed to providing you with the medication you need in a safe and timely manner.

We work closely with you and your doctors to help manage your medical care. Our goal is to ensure that all patients and their families understand what their medicines are for, and how to take them safely and effectively.

Whether you need a prescription, a consultation with one of our skilled pharmacists, specialty medication or over-the-counter items, you can count on the retail pharmacy at Rutland Regional Medical Center to provide the care you need with the convenience you want.

The RRMC Pharmacy also has a MedSafe available within the shared Pharmacy and Gift Shop space where you can safely dispose of old, expired or unused medications.

Pharmacy Residency

Rutland Regional is pleased to offer a postgraduate year 1 (PGY1) Pharmacy Residency program.

With access to the latest and most advanced technology, our pharmacy team offers top-notch pharmaceutical care through comprehensive clinical and distributive practices. Our process is collaborative, interdisciplinary and cost-effective. All processes and procedures are continuously aligned with federal and state rules to ensure regulatory compliance.

Saisha Branchaud, Pharm.D., BCPS

Saisha BranchaudSaisha Branchaud is the Residency Director for the PGY1 Pharmacy Residency program at Rutland Regional Medical Center. Saisha grew up in Vermont and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in biology in 2001. She went on to earn a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in 2004 and started her career at Rutland Regional in 2005 as a clinical staff pharmacist. In 2014 she became a board-certified pharmacotherapy specialist. Saisha has served in a variety of clinical leadership roles throughout her tenure at Rutland Regional, as well as a preceptor for numerous schools of pharmacy. She is currently the director of pharmacy services and maintains special interest in pharmaceutical clinical practice.
