Preparing for Joint Replacement

Our team of specialists will expertly prepare you for your joint replacement surgery.

At Vermont Orthopaedic Clinic, we know that preparing for joint replacement surgery can be stressful or confusing. Our experienced team will guide you through every step of the preparation process.

Preparing for Your Joint Replacement Surgery

Before your surgery, our skilled team members will help you schedule any pre-operative (before surgery) physicals and lab work you may need. We can also help you with:

  • Understanding insurance paperwork
  • Scheduling follow-up appointments
  • Finding in-home help if you need it
  • Arranging your discharge to a rehabilitation center
  • Helping you figure out what assistive devices you might need after surgery (such as a walker)
  • Your family and caregivers may also ask us questions about your surgery or recovery.

Patient Education Resources

We make patient education and patient care our top priority at Rutland Regional. That’s why we offer educational videos and joint replacement surgery guides to help you prepare for your surgery.
