Cancer Support Groups

If you or a loved one are dealing with a cancer diagnosis or treatment, you may be experiencing a range of emotions and challenges – from depression and anxiety to feelings of isolation, anger, and stress. Every person with cancer has a unique experience, but it can help to connect with others who have similar experiences and can understand what you’re going through. Research has shown that cancer support groups can help you learn to cope with your situation while improving your quality of life and survival.

Rutland Regional’s Foley Cancer Center offers the following support groups to help you feel better and work through problems you face.

Support for Caregivers

A cancer diagnosis affects not only patients but also close family and friends. If you’re caring for someone with cancer, caregiver support groups can help you with both practical and emotional challenges. Learn what to expect and how to be the best caregiver you can be – while taking care of yourself, too.

Support for Women with Cancer

A cancer diagnosis is life altering. Sharing the particular challenges you face with others going through the same thing can be hugely beneficial. The Women's Cancer Support Group of Rutland County is designed as a place for women to share their experiences with other women. Group members discuss treatment, recovery and survivorship.
