Similar to the DAISY Award for nurses, Rutland Regional is pleased to offer our patients and visitors the opportunity to recognize an employee in a non-nursing role with the Petal Award.

Who is Eligible?

The Petal award recognizes staff for excellence in patient care or for going above and beyond their normal duties to help a patient or visitor. This award is for a staff member who is clearly focused on delivering the highest standards of quality and performance in their job, who acts with integrity, and provides empathetic, equitable care by treating others with kindness, dignity, and respect.

Eligible employees include:

• Licensed nursing assistants
• Administrative assistants
• Environmental services staff
• Biomedical and engineering staff
• Therapists
• Food services staff
• Medical assistants
• Technologists

Each Petal Award winner receives a framed certificate of recognition and a bouquet of flowers, along with appreciation from hospital leadership. Additionally, the award is announced hospital-wide to all RRMC employees through the daily internal email newsletter.
