About Me

Originally from Pennsylvania, Matt Conway attended University of Virginia as a graduate student, followed by UVM College of Medicine where he graduated in 1993. During surgical residency, Dr. Conway accepted a commission in the US Army Medical Reserve as a Captain and was sent overseas twice following 9/11. Dr. Conway was honorably discharged from service in 2005 as a Major.

For a decade, Dr. Conway was a volunteer at the Rutland Free Clinic where he held multiple positions including medical director. He served on two area school boards, and served on the Rutland Regional Medical Center board for nine years. Dr. Conway previously served as the Medical Director, Rutland General Surgery.

Living in Mendon since coming to the Rutland area in 1999, he and his wife are raising four daughters. His interests include running, cross country skiing, history, hunting and his family. He is a member of the Mendon Fish and Game Club.
