At Rutland Regional Laboratory Services, we understand that fast, accurate lab results are critical to getting you the treatment you need when you need it most.

Whether you are a patient at Rutland Regional Medical Center, having outpatient surgery or need to have tests ordered by your doctor, you can count on our laboratory specialists to perform diagnostic testing, collect blood samples and analyze specimens with efficiency and care.

Laboratory Capabilities

Our laboratory serves every department in the hospital, including the Emergency Department and the Foley Cancer Center, as well as all of our off-campus clinics and the community at large. We use state-of-the-art technology to provide a range of laboratory services, including:

• Microbiology
• Blood bank
• Reference department

Our Services

The lab at Rutland Regional Medical Center provides expert testing services 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. For your convenience, we also operate several blood draw stations in the Rutland region.

Our courier service for medical providers transports specimens for analysis from all over central and southern Vermont and delivers completed patient reports. Courier service is available from 7am to 7pm.

If you require a referral for specialized laboratory services, our staff will manage the process and coordinate your care to ensure a seamless transition. We partner with The University of Vermont Medical Center and the Mayo Clinic to ensure that you receive the laboratory services you need.

*Please note, all Rutland Regional blood draw stations are walk-in services. No appointments can be made for blood draws.*

Draw stations are closed to observe the following holidays:
New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.
